What we collect
Information you send us
If you use our contact form, we collect the name, email address, subject and message you enter. We need your email address to reply; the rest is there so we can understand what you are writing about.
Form submissions are stored in this website’s database and are also sent to us by email.
We do not run a mailing list. Your address is used to answer you and is not added to any marketing list.
Information collected automatically
Our web host records standard server logs when a page is requested, including your IP address, browser type and version, the page requested, and the date and time. These logs exist for security and troubleshooting and are not used to build a profile of you.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies for analytics, advertising or tracking.
WordPress may set functional cookies if you log in to the site’s administration area. That applies to us, not to visitors.
Third parties who receive data
Running the site means a small number of other companies process some of the information above.
Our web host stores this website and its database, including form submissions, and keeps the server logs described above.
Cloudflare Turnstile protects the contact form from automated abuse. When the form loads, Cloudflare receives your IP address and information about your browser in order to decide whether the submission is likely to be from a person. Cloudflare states that it does not use this data for advertising or cross-site tracking. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details.
Our typefaces are served from this website itself, not from a font CDN, so loading a page does not send your details to a font provider.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for advertising purposes.
Why we are allowed to process it
Under the UK and EU GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Answering your message — our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and the steps taken at your request before entering into a contract where your message concerns business.
- Server logs and spam protection — our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and available.
If you are in the EU or UK and you object to any of the above, contact us and we will explain our reasoning or stop, as appropriate.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions are kept for as long as we may reasonably need them to deal with the enquiry and any follow-up, and are reviewed and deleted periodically. If you ask us to delete your message, we will.
Server logs are kept for the period our host retains them, typically a short rolling window.
International transfers
We are based in the United States, and the companies named above process data in the United States and elsewhere. If you contact us from the UK, the EU or another region with data transfer rules, your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States. We rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.

This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through it. If you believe a child has sent us information through this site, contact us and we will delete it.

We keep the website and its software up to date and limit who can access it. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable measures to protect the information described here.

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of the page. If a change is significant, we will say so clearly.
